THANKS FOR PRAYING FOR OUR CHURCH FAMILY:
To submit a request for prayer, an update, or praise, send an email to mgoode@graceniagara.ca
- AMAZE DAY - Tearfund Canada; today is a special day of prayer for churches across Canada to pray for South Sudan, and to respond to the hunger due to ongoing conflict, displacement of people, and deep economic hardship. Pray that God will renew and empower the local churches who bring hope through the gospel. Our church's missions donation of $1000 will be multiplied 4 times through the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
- Tony Tucci had surgery to place a new heart valve last Wednesday at Sunnybrook Hospital in North York. The operation was successful...so grateful for answered prayers. Tony was released Friday, but then had to return to hospital to deal with irregularities in his heartrate, and passing out several times. A pace-maker may be the next step; please pray for clarity and efficiency in his care, and for God strength for both Tony and Mary.
- Trevor Hartwick's mother, Shirley Hartwick passed away early this morning (Tuesday). Please pray for God's comfort for the family, and for encouragement as they prepare for a service in her memory.
- Margaret Young's husband John is facing treatments this week for bowel cancer. Please pray for wisdom of the team deciding on treatment, and that God's grace would surround Margaret and John in this process.
- ALPHA meets for the final session of this season; pray for encouragement and spiritual challenge as they conclude.
- Pray for our upcoming KINGDOM CHRONICLES VBS, as teams are preparing for this special week of July 6-10. Pray for each of our teaching teams as they prepare Bible lessons; for the creative team preparing main sessions; and for each of the children who will come...responding to invitations and participating in the week. Pray for God's special message to each heart!
- Pray for Marj Andres whose brother, Doug Sauer from Fort Erie, passed away last week, for comfort and encouragement, and that God's message of hope in Christ will touch each family member.
- Pray for the fruit of the gospel through the Will Graham Look Up Celebration in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 12 and 13; pray for children, youth and adults who responded to the message of Jesus and made a decision to follow Him...for churches in their follow up and for the work of God's Spirit in each life.
- Gene Fisher has been in GNGH for the past month. Falling, she injured her arm and back, and has been slowly recovering. She longs to get home to see her grandchildren and great grandchild; please pray for her renewed strength, physio and healing.
- Carl Sherrett is back in hospital. Though he had received good news concerning the clearing up of his liver cancer, the toll on his system, along with ongoing dialysis...has him considerably weakened right now. Please continue to pray for him and Marjorie.
- Sandy Cooper requests prayer; she was diagnosed with vertigo and may be Meniere's disease. Further examination is needed at this point. Please pray for wisdom for the doctor and discernment for what may be needed. Most of all God's will be done.
- GRADUATES: University and College programs are finishing, High School and Grade School are soon finishing for the year. Pray for our students, and especially our graduates--that they will finish well, and for God's guidance for those finishing their programs.
- Pray for our Church Youth Ministry as our leadership team guides combined Jr. and Sr. youth nights on Thursday evenings.
- Bill C-9...the "Combating Hate Act". The Senate approved the Bill with only one minor amendment. This is disappointing, and yet we must continue to pray that God would preserve freedom of religious expression and help us as Christian believers to speak the truth of God's Word boldly and appropriately. Outspoken MP Andrew Lawton introduced a motion to scrap Bill C-9, a last opportunity for this to be decided against in parliament. We can pray!
- Pray for Hilary Daley, for ongoing recovery and healing in her knee and leg.
- Please continue praying for overall church ministry, for ministry leaders, life group leaders, discipleship triads, children and youth ministry teams, outreaches, and of course, our regular Sunday morning ministries in worship services and Sunday School..., for our responsiveness to God's Word both personally and in group studies. Pray that we will be steadfast in standing on the truth and be life-giving in our witness to those who need Jesus!
- Please pray for God's wisdom, strength, and joy for each of:
- Our Elders: Jim Stuart, Phil Osborne, Jeff Korody, Norm Hill, Trevor Hartwick, and Pat Bartley, along with Pastor Martin and Pastor Bruce.
- Our Directors: Lawrence McGinn, and John-Rock Bilodeau, along with Elders Jim, Phil, Jeff, Norm, Trevor and Pat (Pastors non-voting)
- Our Deacons: Mark Ridgway, Ian LeSurf, Hilary Daley, Irene Osborne, Anthony Maracle, Mark Daley, Patty LeSurf, Elaine Korody, and Mellanie Romita.
- Pray for God's peace for Ron Myers (Lundy Manor), Elaine Short (Oakwood Park Lodge), Alex Kaye (Chapel Heights), Tom Goode (Linhaven/Regatta House), Vera Harnden (Pleasant Manor), Ruth Birch (Pleasant Manor), Esther Rosa (Meadows), Betty Enns (Meadows of Dorchester), Bethene Fretz (Maple Park Lodge), Doreen Menard (Elgin Falls), Mary Franco (Queenston Place), Bill Howie (Bella), and Della Height (Oakwood) in their care at Senior Homes, and for others like Ellen Kerr, Edith Hodgen, and Sandy Cooper who are mostly homebound.
- Pray for our regular ministries at Cavendish Manor, Oakwood Lodge, Niagara Long-Term Care (NOTL), Bella Retirement Home, River Road Retirement Home, Willoughby Manor and now Elgin Falls. Pray for God's strength and wisdom as we bring encouragement through song and studies from God's Word to these senior residents.

Thanks for praying! Please include these in your personal, small group, and ministry team prayer times. Also, there is a weekly women's prayer time at the church, on Mondays at 1:00 PM...all women are welcome. And, you are welcome to join our pre-service prayer time each Sunday morning at 9:20 AM in the Family Room, praying specifically for God's work among us and in the lives of those not yet saved.
