Prayer & Praise

• Praise the Lord!  We are grateful for God's help with all of the preparations for our Kick-Off Outdoor Service and Picnic at Firemen's Park, and the joy of coming together on Sunday. Many family and friends were invited to participate with us, and enjoyed the day. God is so good!

• Taylor and Jack Davis are grateful for the safe delivery of Alena Claire Davis, born last Saturday evening. Please pray for mom and baby as they settle in at home.  Also, pray for Jack, who suffered a work accident and broke his leg. Pray for added grace in all of this, and quick recovery for Jack.

• Please pray for our present search for a Youth Pastor as the job posting is seen and responded to. Pray for the search committee, and that we will have wisdom in responding to applicants.  Our desire would be to fill this position as soon as possible.  Meanwhile, please pray for Melanie Goode who begins this week assisting our youth ministry team as our Interim Youth Ministry Coordinator.

• Ruth Reid (former Grace missionary with her late husband Bob, now living in Prince George BC), is in hospital being treated for heart failure, and trusting God's grace to help her recover, or prepare (with the family) to be with the Lord, whatever He has in store.

• Gene Fisher was in hospital for 6 months, and finally was able to return home.  Please pray for her in the ongoing adjustments and continued recover.

• Pray for Marjorie Sherrett's son, Rick, who is in hospital for numbers of health difficulties, currently a constant nausea, colitis, and a recent leg amputation; pray that Rick would seek grace and help from the Lord.

• Sandy Cooper is grateful for our prayers, as she continues to experience chronic pain, spinning and lightheadness, and pressure through her head. She awaits an ENT appointment in December. 

• Please continue to pray for Tim Hayes, who had surgery to repair a detached retina; his eyesight is gradually returning, and he is grateful for God's faithfulness and healing, and for our ongoing prayers.

• Margaret Young's husband John is facing treatments for bowel cancer. Please pray for wisdom of the team deciding on treatment, and that God's grace would surround Margaret and John in this process.

• Please pray for overall church ministry as we begin this Fall, for ministry leaders, life group leaders, discipleship triads, children and youth ministry teams, outreaches, and of course, our regular Sunday morning ministries in worship services and Sunday School..., for our responsiveness to God's Word both personally and in group studies. Pray that we will be steadfast in standing on the truth and be life-giving in our witness to those who need Jesus!
  

• Please pray for God's wisdom, strength, and joy for each of:
  • Our Elders: Jim Stuart, Phil Osborne, Jeff Korody, Norm Hill, Trevor Hartwick, and Pat Bartley, along with Pastor Martin and Pastor Bruce. ...Pray for God's wisdom as we meet this evening.
  • Our Directors: Lawrence McGinn, and John-Rock Bilodeau, along with Elders Jim, Phil, Jeff, Norm, Trevor and Pat (Pastors non-voting)
  • Our Deacons: Mark Ridgway, Ian LeSurf, Hilary Daley, Irene Osborne, Anthony Maracle, Mark Daley, Patty LeSurf, Elaine Korody, and Mellanie Romita.

• Pray for God's peace for Ron Myers (Lundy Manor), Elaine Short (Oakwood Park Lodge), Alex Kaye (Chapel Heights), Tom Goode (Linhaven/Regatta House), Vera Harnden (Pleasant Manor), Ruth Birch (Pleasant Manor), Esther Rosa (Meadows), Betty Enns (Meadows of Dorchester), Bethene Fretz (Maple Park Lodge), Doreen Menard (Elgin Falls), Mary Franco (Queenston Place), Bill Howie (Bella), and Della Height (Oakwood) in their care at Senior Homes, and for others like Ellen Kerr, Gene Fisher and Sandy Cooper who are mostly homebound.

• Pray for our regular ministries at Cavendish Manor, Oakwood Lodge, Niagara Long-Term Care (NOTL), Bella Retirement Home, River Road Retirement Home, Willoughby Manor and Elgin Falls.  Pray for God's strength and wisdom as we bring encouragement through song and studies from God's Word to these senior residents.

Thanks for praying!  Please include these in your personal, small group, and ministry team prayer times. Also, there is a weekly women's prayer time at the church, on Mondays at 1:00 PM...all women are welcome.  And, you are welcome to join our pre-service prayer time each Sunday morning at 9:20 AM in the Family Room, praying specifically for God's work among us and in the lives of those not yet saved.
