  • Please pray for Don & Karen Stauffer on their missions trip in Uganda, arriving today, meeting the Ugandan team members, and then traveling north to Gulu for eye clinics and outreach.   

  • Suzanne Neudorf would appreciate prayer for her pace-maker/defibrillator placement surgery tomorrow (Monday) morning at Hamilton General, and for this adjustment to her body in the coming weeks.

  • Thanks for praying for Fay Starostic's son-in-law, Greg who has a rare form of throat cancer (medullary) affecting his thyroid, jugular, and a lymph node.  The surgery on September 5th went very well, though he is in much pain.  Please pray for help in the recovery and for timely follow up. 

  • Crystal Cline requests prayer for her cousin Brenda Silano and the Silano Family ; her husband Bruno had stage 4 cancer - went in remission then while waiting for a heart transplant he passed away in ICU last week.  Their children are Alex, Sarah, Adam and Mark, and the family has all been through quite a bit: Adam had major heart transplant surgery; another son is diagnosed with heart issues as well now.  Please pray that God moves in their hearts and that someone can bring them to know Christ.  Pray for their salvation and that God provides them with peace that is everlasting.  Pray for Brenda who is psychologically struggling with this difficult time that she would see God and be encouraged.

  • Jeremy Bolideau's school friend, Jonas had appendicitis surgery. Thank you for praing, the surgery went well.

  • Please pray for Sarah and her Husband (connected to GGC through Family ministry),  who are expecting a Baby and are praying for a safe and healthy arrival.

  • Andrew Nicholls shares a need for prayer for a 3 year old girl and her family in Welland; she was assaulted physically and sexually by a predator who was staying with her next door neighbour. He is awaiting a bail hearing right now.  Pray for justice to prevail. Pray that God would comfort this little girl in the midst of the horrific event.  Andrew shares that with girls that age of their own, and his sister being close friends with the mom and family, this hits close to home for many.

  • Please pray for Marjorie Sherrett as she will be released from Hamilton General Hospital for further follow-up with her doctor, but not having surgery for her aortal aneurism at this time.  Marjorie is at peace with whatever God allows.  Please continue to pray for Carl Sherrett who is also unwell. 

  • Paulette Quesnel's 84 year old mother, Ida Quesnel, lives near Sudbury but will be moving down to Niagara Falls in a few weeks.  She is sick in bed, and with the move coming , Paulette  requests prayer for God's healing touch on her.

  • George Menard passed away Sunday evening , with Doreen at his side in Elgin Falls Retirement Home, having been unwell and prepared for home!  Pray for Doreen in this loss, and for the family as they prepare for a memorial service at Patterson's on Sept. 10th. (details here)

  • Our missionary, Daniel Simon, is recovering from thyroid cancer surgery--that gratefully went well and has not affected his voice!, Praise the Lord!  He is now on the road moving their packed belongings as the family is relocating over 4000 kms across the country to Parnaiba in the Northeast where he will transition to being team leader for the 14 missionaries (including Lucas & Michele) in the Piaui/Maranhao states.  Caroline and the boys have already arrived by plane.  Prayer appreciated for Daniel's ongoing recovery and the family/ministry transition this month.

  • Della Height requested prayer for her extended family, as her grandson James took his life last week Saturday.

  • Pray for Christian believers in Toronto as they prepare to host Will Graham, Night of Hope on Sept 12th at Church on the Queensway 1536 The Queensway.  Our sister AGC church, Calvary Church in downtown Toronto,
    is one of the key organizers. Pray for Pastor Daniel Winter and those doing Christian Life & Witness training for this evangelistic event, and for a great moving of God on those He is drawing and preparing to hear and respond to the gospel!

  • Bob Reid has been in & out of the hospital in Prince George BC, since March 20,  he fell and broke his right hip, and in a further fall he hurt his back.  Any movement gives him excruciating pain.
    Bob & Ruth request prayer for patience and wisdom, and for God's will to be done in both of our lives.  Bob has had many roommates in hospital, and speaks/prays with each one, has given away a bible and many New Testaments...pray that God will use these opportunities for His glory.

  • Novila Mehtab requests prayer for her client's son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Anna, who desire God‘s blessing to conceive a child.

  • Doreen Menard is thanking God for permission that has now been granted to host a women’s bible study Sept. 8 and 30th at Elgin Falls Retirement Home, where she lives. Continue to pray for the Holy Spirit's help and that many folks would accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour for eternal life.  

  • Pray for Wanda Perrier's friend, Sean (46 yrs), who suffered a stroke Tues.,  Aug 19, while driving. He is in ICU in critical condition. Sean has a wife and two daughters. 

  • Thank you for praying for Brian Gallant and his wife, Valerie. Brian is home now and doing much better, he will be back at church soon.  Your prayers are working! Pray for Valerie and Brian as they navigate this diagnosis, and that God will continue to heal and strengthen him.

  • Please continue to pray for Jaimie Bilodeau.  The medication has now caused her to experience hypothyroidism (opposite hyper) and the numbers are quite high. Please pray that she will be able to get the medication right to get within the normal range. 

  • Continue to keep Janet Palinski in your prayers for strength in her legs, as she undergoes some health issues.   Please pray for encouragement and healing.

  • Please continue to pray for Sandy Cooper, who, for medical reasons, cannot attend services (and is grateful for live stream!); and who for the next four months will be enduring physiological symptoms of weaning off medications under the doctor's guidance. Pray for God's peace and for her recovery.

  • Please pray that our upcoming 90th Anniversary will be as amazing as the last 89.  That the caterers have the Lord with them as they prepare our special celebration.

  • Please pray for God's wisdom, strength and joy for each of:
    • Our Elders: Jim Stuart, Phil Osborne, Jeff Korody, Don Stauffer,  Norm Hill, along with Pastor Martin and Pastor Bruce.
    • Our Directors: Lawrence McGinn, Trevor Hartwick, along with Elders Jim, Phil, Jeff, Norm, and Don. 
    • Our Deacons: Mark Ridgway, Ian LeSurf, Hilary Daley, Irene Osborne, Anthony Maracle, Mark Daley, Patty LeSurf, Elaine Korody, Mellanie Romita.

  • Pray for the further planning of our Washroom renovation project.  We have our building permit now. Pray for direction as we review this and make decisions regarding contracts.

  • Pray for God's peace for Lorna Johansen (Chapel Heights), Ron Myers (Lundy Manor), Vi Warden (Cavendish), Elaine Short (Oakwood Park Lodge), Jean Johnston (Bella), Alex Kaye (Chapel Heights), Tom Goode (Linhaven/Henley House), Vera Harnden (Simcoe), Esther Rosa (Meadows), Betty Enns (now at Meadows of Dorchester), Bethene Fretz (Maple Park Lodge), Doreen Menard (Elgin Falls), Mary Franco (Queenston Place), Marj Kershaw (Queenston Place), and Bill Howie (Bella) in their care at Senior Homes, and for others like Ellen Kerr who are mostly homebound.

  • Please continue praying for overall church ministry, for ministry leaders, life group leaders, discipleship triads, children and youth ministry teams, outreaches and of course, our regular Sunday morning ministries in worship services and Sunday School..., for our responsiveness to God's Word both personally and in group studies. Pray that we will be steadfast in standing on the truth, and be life-giving in our witness to those who need Jesus!

  • Cover our regular ministries at Cavendish Manor, Oakwood Lodge, Niagara Long-Term Care (NOTL), Bella Retirement Home, River Road Retirement Home, Willoughby Manor and now Elgin Falls with prayer!  Pray for God's strength and wisdom as we bring encouragement through song and studies from God's Word to these senior residents.

Thanks for praying!  Please include these in your personal, small group, and ministry team prayer times. Also, there is a weekly women's prayer time at the church, Mondays at 1:00 PM...all women are welcome.  And, you are welcome to join our pre-service prayer time each Sunday morning at 9:20 AM in the Family Room, praying specifically for God's work among us and in the lives of those not yet saved.
